Paris in the 1960s, unusual crimes disrupt public peace. Hélène Picard - a prostitute - who was sentenced to death in 1966 for multiple murders of women, was executed on March 22, 1968 by Louis Guilbeau. While crimes similar to Hélène Picard's continue inexplicably, Louis Guilbeau falls in love with Solange.
