Konto Ausgeglichen plot

Robert Jacobi, the new head of a bank branch in Weinheim, is in trouble because of his willingness to help. He finds that the head cashier Joachim Brand, who has been in hospital for several days, has blatantly abused the trust of customers and embezzled large sums of money. Brand's wife Linda has recently started working at the branch and asks Jacobi to cover up the incident. The man agrees with Linda. In addition, he agrees to lend her another 40,000 German marks. Shortly afterwards, Jacobi appears to be in real trouble...
