Joe MacBeth plot
"Scarface... Dillinger... and now Joe Macbeth"
Joe MacBeth from New York City is a successful mobster, but his wife Lily is even more ambitious. Mrs. MacBeth persuades her husband that when she and Joe's mobster boss are swimming, he kills him with a knife. When the stressed Joe drops his knife into the water, Lily dives after it. Joe is now not a suspect and he eventually reaches the top of the gangster world in New York. But Joe increasingly gets the idea that everyone is chasing him. He even kills his best gangster buddy Banky. In the evening, during the meal, Joe thinks he sees Banky's ghost and Lily has nightmares that night.
