Hostel plot
"The truth will hit you."
After the death of his parents, Karan temporarily stays with his uncle in Mumbai, who has a reasonable life there with his wife and two children. Karan then enrolls at a university and goes to live in a hostel. Some senior students immediately want to blackmail him, and when he refuses, they beat him up and he is taken to the leader of the gang. This student Feroz deliberately gets bad results in order to enjoy a lazy life longer. He also has good connections and can therefore go about his business. The owner of the hostel knows about the practices but does nothing. Karan remains a victim of the group, but finds support from the beautiful Paval and a number of fellow sufferers.
