Fugitive Lady plot
When the beautiful Ann Duncan loses her job, she accepts Jack Howard's proposal and agrees to run away with him. Ann soon becomes aware of his criminal past when Jack flees the police and is caught possessing his stolen goods. She is convicted and sent to prison. However, the train carrying Ann to prison crashes and she is mistaken for a Mrs. Howard, one of the killed passengers, who was on her way to meet her mother-in-law for the first time. Ann is taken to Donald Howard's house, where she tells Donald and his mother what really happened.
