"DEATH-CHEATING...THRILL-CHASING...TROUBLE-SHOOTERS!"
Betty Bryant is an ambitious newspaper reporter. She is in love with Dan Barton, a member of Emergency Squad in a big city. Emergency Squad members are trained to deal with riots, collapses, explosions, fires and other calamities where human lives are at stake. Unscrupulous tunnel builder Slade Wiley feels that his low offer for the Newford Tunnel project is causing him to lose a lot of money and has local underworld leader Nick Buller set off explosions to scare shareholders into buying their shares at a low price.
