An insurance company's inspectors must find out whether the death of a German banker in the explosion of his luxury yacht was an accident or murder. Then researcher Robert Lucas discovers that behind it all is a circle of wealthy, criminal and international aristocrats. In order to give himself and his beloved a decent life, he does not hesitate to extort the gang. But his greed just might tear him apart...
