Dancing with Crime plot
The Second World War has recently ended and many articles are still rationed in England. In this time of shortages, black traders are doing good business. London taxi driver and former soldier Ted Peters becomes involved with a gang of black dealers led by nightclub owner Gregory and his right-hand man Paul Baker. Baker has offered Ted's childhood friend and Army comrade Dave Robinson a job at Gregory's nightclub. Dave also gets Ted's friend Joy Goodall a job as a hostess at the nightclub. Joy soon realizes that illegal activities are also taking place under cover of the nightclub and she wants to round up Gregory's gang with the help of Ted.
