Crime reporter Jim Riley is in danger of going to jail for refusing to tell the police his sources about criminals. Jim follows a gangster gang. His investigation is complicated because he has fallen in love with Betty Van Cleve, the sister of one of the criminals. In addition, a lawsuit against the gangsters is complicated by the fact that the leader of this gang is on the jury.
