Conspiracy plot
"SENDS SHUDDERING THRILLS DOWN THE BACKBONE OF THE WORLD!"
Margaret Holt is the sister of District Attorney Victor Holt. They work together to bring gangster James Morton and his gang to justice. But when Victor is kidnapped and Margaret is exposed, she panics and stabs Morton to save her brother. She flees to a home for underprivileged women. But her secret is discovered by journalist John Howell and detective novelist Winthrop "Little Nemo" Clavering. Together, they try to prove her innocence by luring the gang into a trap.
