Chandler plot
"Chandler is a private eye. It's a hard way to make a living... and an easy way to die."
Chandler is an elderly but hardened private investigator hired by government agents to track down and protect a key witness. The witness, Katherine, turns out to be a very attractive Frenchwoman who has spent a night with the blackmailer Melchior. Chandler is unaware that he is being used by the government agents to deal with Melchior.
