Central Park plot
Rick and Dot, two poor New Yorkers, meet in Central Park and fall in love. Promising each other that they will see each other again, they go their separate ways. However, Dot is picked up by petty thug Nick Samo, who poses as a police inspector, and he promises to pay her $100 if she helps him with an operation for the benefit of a local charity. She agrees, unaware that Nick and his gang are using her to get her to steal the proceeds from the charity. Rick, who was also arrested by Sarno for being seen with Dot, is held captive in their hideout by the gang. He escapes and runs to the charity to try and save Dot before she gets involved in the robbery...
