Below the Deadline plot

Molly Fitzgerald, who works at a jewelry store, is approached on the street by a stranger who wants to go on a date with her. Her fiancé, police officer Terry Mulvaney, chases the man away. However, the stranger, whose real name is Spike, isn't interested in Molly's pretty face. He is part of a gang of jewel thieves who want to rob the jeweler where Molly works and they want to use Molly to get information about the incoming shipments. Smart gang member Flash Ackroyd manages to get the information and stage a robbery. He makes it look like Terry did the heist.
