Zügürt Aga plot

The film basically consists of two parts. In the first part we get to know the village of Haraptar; with the feudal system, the 'fake' respect of the 'serfs' towards the Aga (Landlord, Sener Sen), the superstition of the villagers, the influence of political developments on the village; with the cunning idler Salman (Erdal Özyagcilar) who sees that the feudal system will not last long and tries to take advantage of it; with Salman's beautiful and good natured sister Kiraz (Nilgün Nazli). Finally, we witness the drought that plagues Haraptar and the villagers' 'plot', forcing the Aga to eventually sell his village. In the second part we see the migration of the whole village, including the Aga, to Istanbul; we see the ruthless metamorphosis of the villagers in the big city, the decline of feudalism and how the once mighty Landsheer's ventures fail piece by piece, forcing him to sell even his beautiful boots...
