60-year-old Charlotte gets into the car and leaves her husband Paul and daughter Alex stunned, while granddaughter Jo hides in the back seat with her dead cat. Far removed from everyday life, they dive into the here and now, towards a new beginning. But Paul and Alex follow. Paul must learn to dream again to get Charlotte back, and Alex unexpectedly finds love along the way. Jo experiences that there is more between heaven and earth.
