Just saw a clip on Eva. The two gynecologists even pull half a dry rusk out of her crack and eat it too. So that’s the level

Went to the movies yesterday. This is not recommended; the humor is of a very low level.

Meijer breaks the taboo surrounding menopause by taking on the lead role in this film adaptation of her book in unparalleled fashion. With expertise and a healthy dose of self-mockery, she makes the physical and mental discomforts of the transition visible and open for discussion among a broad audience. M. [Maike Meijer], partly due to her physical problems, loses the lead role in a successful police series, suspects husband Koos [Bas Hoeflaak] of having an affair, and clings desperately to her son [Matti Stooker], who is actively looking for a room. She finds some solace with an Oscar-winning former colleague [Hadewych Minis]. There is hilarious supporting work from Beppie Melissen as M.'s very direct mother, Bianca Krijgsman as her dreamy bosom friend, and Wim Opbrouck as a very temperamental theater director.
