Algernon Schuyler Van Twidder is a frequently requested witness at weddings. During a wedding ceremony, he falls asleep, then changes the wedding rings and kisses the pastor instead of the bride. Van Twidder swears he's had it with marriages, but then his best friend Tom Milbank gets involved with sexy Russian dancer Mimi de Lyle. Mimi threatens to expose Tom with compromising letters and ruin his romance.
