Neil (Cillian Murphy) has always had a passion for film noirs. The special events, but above all the unusual lifestyles, appeal to this video rental owner. When he meets Violet (Lucy Liu) one day, he is completely blown away. This Violet seems to have walked right out of his favorite films and that fascinates him immensely. The question is whether he dares to go on an adventure with this femme fatale or whether he will stay safe on his couch in front of the TV screen.
