Warning: Parental Advisory plot
It's 1985 and the Parent Music Resource Center (PMRC) is putting pressure on the music industry. The group is on a "crusade" against what they believe is "reproachable pop music" and wants more regulation and control over the accessibility of music with certain themes for children. Artists such as the avant-garde musician Frank Zappa are diametrically opposed to the PMRC's position, but the group's actions increasingly threaten to undermine artistic freedom, up to a scheduled senate hearing. Zappa enlists Charlie Burner, a political lobbyist for the music industry, to hit back at this interrogation, along with other artists.
