Waiting for the Light plot
"A comedy about strange events and odd behavior."
1962 at the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Single mother Kay Harris (Teri Garr) moves with her eccentric Aunt Zena (Shirley MacLaine) and her two mischievous children from Chicago to a small, sleepy town in the American West. There they have inherited a café from a deceased uncle and are trying to build a better life. The children get into a fight with the strange neighbor and together with their aunt decide to get him back by staging a ghost apparition. However, when the neighbor thinks he has been visited by an angel, this inadvertently leads to a huge amount of publicity, causing the town to be overrun with curious visitors.
