Put a few exaggerated characters with typical prejudices in one room and ... it works!

The fact that the characters are quite temperamental and the Spanish language lends itself perfectly to machine-gun-like tirades keeps the film afloat well, despite it taking place in a single room for its entire running time.

Comedy, cringe-worthy blunders between old and young... everything clashes merrily in not-too-complex discussions.

With a cool, but not entirely unexpected, ending, this is in my opinion an enjoyable film for a broad audience. At times it reminded me of Relatos Salvajes (Film, 2014)

Alberto [Raúl Fernández de Pablo] receives the members of the residents' committee for a discussion about the broken elevator in a Madrid apartment complex. He also hopes to obtain permission to rent his apartment to Joaquin [Pepe Carrasco]. Everyone wants to settle matters as quickly as possible, until Alberto reveals that Joaquin has psychological problems. The ensuing discussion becomes more heated and personal, forcing everyone present to confront their own shortcomings. A standard premise for a satirical look at norms and values with a cross-section of society. Entertaining, well-acted, with an ironic denouement, but filmed in a theatrical manner and the revelations are not very surprising.
