Versalles plot

After losing his bid for the Mexican presidency, ambitious politician Chema retreats with his elegant wife, Carmina, to a rural estate. Their exile quickly descends into delusion. They crown themselves king and queen of a fictional empire, the household staff is transformed into courtiers, halls become stages for decadent ceremonies, and fantasies culminate in cruel punishments and bizarre rituals.
