Valentina plot

After racking up more parking fines than she can afford, Valentina sets out to pay them, assuming it’s a quick fix. Instead, she gets caught in a spiral of errands, conversations, and delays spanning 48 hours and going back and forth across the US-Mexico border. As she crosses the Rio Grande from El Paso to Juárez and back again, dealing with relatives, side jobs, and the constant reminder of her limited funds, Valentina becomes derailed by a paralyzing combination of laziness, debt, bureaucracy, partying, and imposing members of a close-knit family.
