Up the River plot

During a transatlantic crossing, the fake poker players 'Chipper' Morgan and Darby Randall have chosen the wrong victim this time: prison guard Wallis. Both are arrested when the ship docks in New York Harbor and they are then sent to Rockwell Prison, not unknown to them. Morgan and Randall had played brilliant football there during their previous prison sentences. Prison coach Slim Nelson is therefore happy to see Morgan and Randall again, because an important game is coming up...
