Journalist Dieter Lindemann firmly believes in the fifty-fifty principle with regard to the household and the care of the children. In addition, he and his wife are so busy that they have forgotten to pay attention to their relationship. One day Esther tells that she is in love with her Danish colleague Lars. Hurt and full of anger, Dieter goes to a hotel. At the same time, he is pressured at work by his editor-in-chief and he faces competition from his ambitious intern Saskia.
