The Way It Is plot
A group of actors (active in the off-Broadway circuit) from New York's East Village is rehearsing for a production of Jean Cocteau's play Orpheus. But then it turns out that the actress scheduled to play the lead role has been found dead in a nearby park. At her funeral, her history is shown through flashbacks. The actors, all of whom share a past with her, subsequently attempt to unravel the mystery behind her death.
