The Snake plot

Jamie is an unruly forty-something. When she clashes with her venomous mother, Anne, her life falls apart dramatically, and she is evicted and single. This sends Jamie on a frantic search for "home": she breaks into her grandmother's house to prove it's hers, makes a rebuffed attempt to move in with her ex, a punk rocker living in a van, and stays with her best friend for a while.
