A nice film about a widow with plenty of time on her hands who therefore likes to meddle in other people's lives. It is funny here and there, but it doesn't really amount to much. Enough happens, making it an easy watch. Of course, it helps that Susan Sarandon is always a pleasure to watch.

Reasonable feel-good movie with a pleasant Sarandon.

Sarandon is really fun as the meddling mother, friend, acquaintance, and so on. Fortunately she is fun, because I don't think there is a single scene where she isn't present. Her character carries the film with verve.

The other characters don't really matter. They serve Sarandon, who gratefully seizes upon their interchangeability to portray that fun lead.

A film in which the humor consists of Sarandon's intrusive mannerisms and the awkward situations she finds herself in as a result.

Also with humor in the dialogues. However, the texts are subordinate to the situation. I would have liked a bit more and something sharper.

The story isn't too complicated. A bit sweet here and there, but thankfully in moderation. The underlying themes don't allow for too much sweetness anyway. The struggle with deeper themes like processing grief and loneliness is clearly visible and plays an important role in the story, but it doesn't dominate. The film doesn't get bogged down in it. The tone remains cozy and light. A fine choice, I thought.

I brought this one along and watched it without any expectations. I didn't think it was a bad film; the running time was good—not too long, not too short.

The cast also did a fine job, and otherwise the film wasn't boring.

Not bad.
