Geoffrey Scrimshaw is an ardent supporter of Manchester United and works as a bank clerk. Beryl Battersby is a rather reserved romantic girl. Geoffrey and Beryl are a young couple struggling with their relationship. He wants to sleep with her but she refuses. They both wonder if they are right for each other. Will they manage to save their relationship?
