The Hottentot plot

A young man happens to have the same name as a famous jockey, and when he discovers that people keep mistaking him for the jockey, even though he has never ridden a horse and is actually afraid of them, he plays along. He even wears the same kind of racing gear as the real jockey. Eventually, things get out of hand, and before he knows it, he is forced to replace the real jockey in a race and discovers that the horse he has to ride is a wild beast named Hottentot.
