The Harvester plot

In a small town in Indiana in the 1890s, the domineering Mrs. Biddle arranges a marriage between her daughter Thelma and the most desirable man in town. It is harvester David Langston, who owns a large area of private land. David is friends with orphan Ruth Jameson and although she is in love with him, he gives in to Mrs. Biddle.
