The Faker plot
In an attempt to trick his estranged father, John Clayton, into changing his will, young misfit Frank hires the fake spiritualist Hadrian. Rita Martin, hired by Hadrian, has to introduce Frank's mother at the hearing. However, Rita falls in love with Frank's rebellious stepbrother Bob Williams. To protect Bob's interests, Rita exposes Hadrian as a con man.
