The Clodhopper plot

Everett Nelson is a simple farm boy. Unfairly treated on the farm, he runs away to the big city. There, he meets an impresario who believes he's perfect for the role of a country bumpkin in his latest play. Everett quickly becomes famous. When the news reaches his hometown, all hell breaks loose.
