"Italian comedy"
Marcella Valmarin (Agostina Belli) works as a chambermaid in a hotel on the Lido in Venice. She dreams of the movie star Adelmo (Ugo Tognazzi) and therefore does not see the spastic Roberto at all. Franco Denza (Vittorio Gassman) comes to Venice from Rome and becomes very fond of Marcella, but she doesn't like the fact that he has ties with Mussolini.
