"Harry Reynolds could talk the stripes off a zebra and the smile off a Cheshire cat. But this time he's in over his head."

Con man Harry Reynolds is released from prison. He immediately has his eye on a new scammer and travels to the town of Beachport on the Australian coast. There he tries to get the locals to invest in his "plan". However, things are thrown into disarray when he falls in love with local hotel owner Julie.
