Sweet Genevieve plot

The city's biggest problem is whether the high school basketball team will win the championship. Until blackmailers move into town and the kids start betting on horse races and become overly fond of race cars. Meanwhile, Genevieve Rogers suspects her father is a little too fond of the principal's secretary, and urban nerd Bill Kennedy invents a new fuel. There are also rumors that the basketball game has been bribed.
