Sweepstakes Winner plot

Waitress Jennie Jones is a naive young woman from the small town of Athens, Nebraska. Thanks to her grandfather's $1,000 inheritance money, she happily travels to a major city to fulfill the terms of the inheritance: to buy a mare, specifically a retired racehorse named Firefly. Jennie discovers that she and Firefly share certain similarities.
