Sons o' Guns plot
Hedonist Jimmy Canfield wants to secure himself for deployment as a soldier in the First World War through a stage assignment on Broadway. Due to unforeseen circumstances Jimmy ends up in the trenches at the front in France. With his clumsy behavior, however, he is a thorn in the side of his commanders, in contrast to the waitress Yvonne who just loses her heart to Jimmy.
