Somebody's Hero plot

"Everybody can be Somebody's Hero"

Dennis Sullivan is an average New York City accountant who is assigned to work for a wealthy young widow and her son, Jake, who is obsessed with an American superhero he sees on television. Dennis sees Jake use the TV hero to replace his own father who has died of an illness. Dennis is touched and heads to the store to look for the much-loved hero costume. Once in the dressing room, the store is robbed by a man with a knife. Dennis, who is wearing the suit at the time, overpowers the robber. The security cameras capture everything and once this material reaches the media, there is a veritable media frenzy and the city wants more from the new 'superhero'.
