So This Is Washington plot

Lum and Abner head to Washington to help their country at war. They think they have invented a substitute for rubber. However, just as Abner wants to reveal his invention and its composition to the government, he is hit on the head. When he wakes up he doesn't remember anything, it's up to Lum to make sure his friend regains his memory.
