Slightly Tempted plot

Professor Ross, a con man, is released from prison. His daughter, Judy, has told everyone, including her fiancé Jimmy, that her father has been exploring South America. Local leaders ask him to give a lecture at a gala reception. Because Jimmy needs money to finance a toy train factory, Ross concludes his lecture with a sales pitch about the valuable iridium mines he has discovered in South America. Several people, including a toy manufacturer and a few other con artists, try to get their hands on the nonexistent stock.
