Sing As We Go plot
The story is set in the north of England, which has been hit by economic downturn. In her own energetic and social way, musical star Gracie Platt tries to solve the problems that have arisen after the closure of a factory. The owners will not consider reopening the business until they can convince an industrialist of a new process for refining cotton.
