Shkurnyk plot

Opportunist Kyivan Apollon Shmyguyev collects abandoned goods during the revolution in Kiev, still occupied by Tsarist troops, and takes it off on a stray camel. On the way, he is stopped by the red army. His camel is confiscated and he himself must be placed at the disposal of the commissioner. With cunning and determination he makes it to chief of the commissariat, but the ingrained hunger for profit puts his life in danger.
