Shalom, General plot
Roman is an Austrian conscientious objector. He has a little uplifting job as a nurse in a retirement home, where he is confronted with all kinds of misery all day long. He often quarrels with a troublesome former general, who is in a wheelchair. However, the initial dislike for each other gradually turns into mutual respect and understanding.
