Schwere Jungs plot
Bobsleigher Gamser from Garmisch-Partenkirchen has been in the shadow of fellow villager Dorfler, a wealthy brewery owner, all his life. Together with three friends, Gamser manages to make a good four-man bob and even the impossible is not inconceivable: they qualify for the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952. Arch rival Dorfler, however, and the two national teams are at odds with each other in Oslo, which means that winning a German Olympic gold medal is in jeopardy.
