Sam the Man plot

Sam Manning (Fisher Stevens), is the author of a successful novel about a cynical playboy. He himself is a charming and childlike playboy, but he is very fond of his fiancée Cass (Annabella Scoirra). He tries to grow up for her and remain faithful to her. The problem is that life isn't easy for him. He has wasted four years trying to write a second novel, his money is running out and his confidence is shattered. His loyalty to Cass is tested by several beautiful sexy young women. He gives in to his lusts when he meets sultry real estate agent Anastasia (Maria Bello). Eventually, Sam discovers that his relationship with Cass is the most important thing to him, but does he find out too late?
