Rockets Galore plot
"Remember "Whisky Galore"? The Islanders of TODDAY are now preparing to give the Government a swift kick in its rocket base!"
The RAF plans to station missiles on Todday, a small island in the Hebrides. Commander Hugh Mander is sent out to negotiate with the residents. Until then they have been able to live quietly and peacefully and are in all states when they hear of these plans. They resist and, for example, paint gulls pink to protect the habitat of this endangered species. Fortunately, Mander falls in love with teacher Janet and comes to realize how a missile base would damage the island.
