Richard the Brazen plot

Richard Williams is like a modern knight, with all the flourish and daring of the knights of old, although he happens to be born in Texas in the 20th century. While traveling with his friend, an English peer, an accident forces him to assume his friend's title and leads to a meeting with a girl he had adored from far away in England. He is forced to court her under false pretenses, which of course has the necessary consequences.
