In a world where Santa Claus is real and wants to spark the spirit of Christmas, two of Santa's assistants, Chuck and Debbie, devise a plan to grant one person on earth three wishes to kick off the holiday season. Unfortunately, that human is Erin, who has lost all affection for the season. Not even a blind date with the kind and charming Sam, arranged by her sister, can change her mind about Christmas. But when she makes the mistake of wishing for Christmas to "just go away," Erin wakes up to a world where the holiday never existed.
