"Bill Solves an Exciting Mystery and Wins a New Sweetheart!"
Powell is a newspaper editor. He becomes a lieutenant in 1917 during the First World War. When they determine that he is an expert at deciphering codes, they order him to crack the enemy codes. During his mission, he comes into contact with a beautiful spy who works for the Germans and runs into an infamous spy network.
